Technologist (IT) - Job Code: IT-CUSS

Job Description:
NRI Laboratories, Inc. is searching for an entry to mid level technologist to support our operations and grow into the role of building and shaping the technology used by the company. Given the size of the company, it is a unique role that will allow the ideal candidate to work on all of the aspects of the technology used in the company. The candidate must possess an excellent, can-do attitude and be flexible. This position is great for someone wanting to step into Health IT.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Perform daily systems checklist as required.
  • Install, configure and support network, PC and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both internal and external customer technical issues (hardware, software and network).
  • Maintain ticketing system. Track issues, maintain a log, and work issues till completion.
  • Document IT procedures, issues and resolutions.
  • Maintain Daily, Weekly and Monthly (incremental/full) backups. Perform file restorations and archives.
  • Collaborate with vendors and partners as in-house project coordinator.
  • Support system utilities scripting and custom application (database & reports) development.

The candidate must:

Lab Courier - Job Code: COUR

Job Description:
NRI Laboratories, Inc. is searching for a candidate that will serve as a contracted employee to perform a variety of courier and delivery duties utilizing their own automobile. The contracted employee will ensure the proper distribution of supplies, results, and samples to various areas within the city as well as outlying locations. Daily tasks and delivery routes are assigned by a supervisor; however, when actually delivering materials, work is performed without direct supervision.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Transport of biohazardous specimens including but not limited to blood, urine, stool, synovial fluid, etc., insuring integrity while in transport to designated locations such as blood drawing stations, etc.
  • Operates an automobile (your own) to deliver samples, results, correspondence, supplies, etc., as requested
  • Picks up items from designated facilities for immediate, next day or future delivery
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Excellent customer facing skills; you will be interacting with the client, and therefore, must be generally likeable, friendly and have a good attitude

Specifications:

  • Principles and practices of safe motor vehicle operation and maintenance
  • Traffic laws, ordinances, and rules involved in motor vehicle operation
  • Must have reliable vehicle of your own
  • Due to exposure to blood specimen samples, applicant MUST be Hepatitis B vaccinated
  • Salary varies by route, approximately $60-$90 per diem (this includes fuel costs, however fuel reimbursement is subject to a case basis)
  • Must provide replacement if unable to report for duty; Since this is a contract position, the candidate must provide a backup plan/person in case of sick days, vacation, etc.

Job Description:
NRI Laboratories, Inc. is searching for a candidate that will professionally and courteously answer inbound customer calls. This position requires able to work on the computer and relay correct information to the caller.

Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming calls about lab results
  • Ability to understand and explain lab results to physicians' offices

Specifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology program
  • Experience working within a lab environment, knowledge of medical testing preferred
  • Previous experience as a Medical Technician preferred

Medical Data Order Entry - Job Code: DEO

Job Description:
NRI Laboratories, Inc. is searching for a candidate that will work within a high volume processing department, entering and filing laboratory specimen information into our data system. This position is critical to the operations, and qualified candidates will be required to be 100% accurate in data entry. Applicants must have experience with data processing/entry.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and interpret specimen orders. Enter order information into our data system
  • Print labels for requisition forms
  • Manage a work load to meet company deadlines, timing is critical

Specifications:

  • Experience working within a data entry environment, knowledge of medical testing preferred
  • Computer literate, must have understanding of Microsoft Office and other computer-based programs
  • Excellent typing and ten-key skills, with a typing speed of 55+WPM
  • Proficient communication skills (written and verbal)

Clinical Lab Technician (Medical Lab Tech) - Job Code: LAB-TECH

Job Description:
NRI Laboratories, Inc. is searching for a candidate that will perform laboratory tests under the close supervision of a senior technician. Typically works with biohazard materials. Responsible for laboratory maintenance, preparing solutions and media.

Responsibilities:

  • Specimen receiving and accessioning.
  • Conduct chemical analysis of bodily fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer.
  • Analyze the results of test and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.
  • This position performs a variety of routine and special laboratory procedures as authorized by the Manager or Director including rotation through at least three (3) areas of the Clinical Lab: Blood Bank, Hematology, Biochemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immuno-Serology, Bacteriology, and Specimen Processing.
  • Operates requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Uses sterile techniques to avoid contaminating lab experiments.
  • Uses universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from biohazard materials, including blood-borne pathogens.
  • Complies with biohazard safety standards through proper handling of potentially hazardous chemical and biological agents in the workplace.
  • Completes annual laboratory biohazard/universal precaution safety training, as appropriate.

Specifications:

  • Work produced is subject to precise measures of quantity and quality.
  • Continuous exposure to specimens and material considered infectious and/or bio-hazardous such as airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals in this work environment which mandate attention to safety considerations.
  • Near vision to see objects clearly within 20 inches.
  • Sharp focus to adjust vision when doing close work that changes in distance from eyes.
  • Full spectrum vision to identify and distinguish color.
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard.
  • Handling by seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with the hand or hands, but without finger dexterity.
  • Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally lifting, carrying objects weighing 10 lbs. or less.
  • Ability to move about laboratory and work efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology program from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred MT (ASCP) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years laboratory experience in high complexity testing.
